Issue three: the release

So it's been a while since I actually blogged over here- I've been busy finishing uni and working lots. The third issue has been released, and I'm pleased to say that It's had a good responce! Now I have a lot more free time I plan to make the fourth issue the best one so far. I'm actually in need of co-editors at the moment, as right now I don't have enough, so if you are interested in being a co-editor please email me: etoilee@live.co.uk and I'll explain to you the details.

Anyways, I thought here I would share with you three of my favorite artists from the magazine and talk a little bit about them! It's hard to chose as everyone involved in the magazine is amazing! Anyways, Enjoy :] and be sure to look out for the next issue released early June.

The best bits!

Ben  Heine.

He creates amazing art peices, of which you can see above, where he re-creates part of the image via a sketch. It's such a clever, quirky and interesting idea! His work has been featured in many publications and seen on the BBC. I personally can't wait to see more from Ben!

Rossella Vanon

Rosella Vanon created this amazing editorial: 'Inbetween dreams' and I was absolutely delighted when she said I could use it in the magazine. She also was the photographer behind the cover photo (this photo above was also a close second for the cover shot!) She's defnitely a very talented photographer and I really think you all need to see more of her work!

and one more:

Julia Popova

Julia Popova is a photo manipluator. She creates fantasy landscapes with beautiful models dressed in dreamy clothes. Her photos bring an escence of peace and they really are very stunning to look at. I defnitely think more people need to cher out her work.

Title font.

So I've been messing around with cover images for this third issue of Étoilée. The whole magazine is slowly developing it's own style, and after messing around with fonts for the main title, I'm stuck! I cannot decide between these two:

Well I mean, I think, I personally like the second one best. But I'm not sure if that's just because I've been staring at the first one for too long that it's bored me. Either way, I would love your opinions on this.. 1st or 2nd!

Let me know via facebook or commenting this blog :]

Well, it's moving along nicely, we have some amazing editorials from talented photographers such as Kitty Gallannaugh and Emily Soto. We have photo manipulators, music, painters, designers and more. I really hope this issue will be worth the wait!

The fashion issue

Due to being so busy with work, and uni work, this issue will be released later than the 14th April. It will be out the begining of May! I have so many uni deadlines coming up that it's hard to focus soley on the magazine (as much as I would love to) But I assure you that this issue will be worth the wait, hopefully.

We have lots of Look book features from many amazing members from the Look Book community - both female and male fashion. My favorite being Claire Mcmanus - I absolutely adore her geek chic style, I swear I would be in fashion heaven if I had her wardrobe, heres two of my personal favorites from her collection

To follow her on lookbook click here!
and to see her blog go here.

I hope you look forward to the interview with her and many other talented, beautiful people out there with gorgeous style. Be sure to keep checking out the fan page on facebook for little bits of info and news on the magazine. In the mean time, smile and be happy - it's almost summer :] !

For the second issue of  Étoilée magazine, we've decided that we'd love the public's opinion on what cover image really catches their eyes most. So out of these three images that we have narrowed it down to, which one tends to stand out the most to you? Let us know in the comments, or through our facebook page or twitter, which  you can find the links to below!

So in other news, as you can see, we now have a twitter accout! (yet exactly 1 follower at the moment!) So more would be great. Follow it to check out how the new issue is coming along and any exciting news!

You can also find the first issue available to purchase here on MAGCLOUD at a pretty high price at the moment of $25 but don't worry the next issue will only be $12, so look out for that! We also got featured on the front page for the first issue, which was great! Hopefully the second issue will go down even better as we have even more amazing talent included!

That is all for now :] Keep your eyes open for the second issue, out a week tomorrow - well technically today! Night people!
